Ethics of scientific publications and prevention of unfair practice of publications

The editorial board of the journal of theoretical and applied researches "Bulletin of Kemerovo State University of Culture and Arts" is guided in the work by the international ethical rules of scientific publications including the rules of decency, confidentiality, supervision of publications, accounting of the possible conflicts of interests, etc. In activity the edition follows recommendations of Committee on ethics of scientific publications (Committee on Publication Ethics) and, in particular, the Guide to ethics of scientific publications (Publishing Ethics Resource Kit) of Elsevier publishing house.

Duties of editors, editorial board, and reviewers of the journal

Editors of the journal have to estimate intellectual contents of manuscripts regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religious views, origins, nationality or political preferences of authors.

Any manuscript received for reviewing is considered a confidential document. The editor and editorial board undertake not to open needlessly information on the accepted manuscript to public, except for authors, reviewers, possible reviewers, other scientific consultants and the publisher. All of them undertake not to use without written consent of the author in personal researches the unpublished data obtained from the manuscripts presented to consideration.

Editors, reviewers, scientific consultants undertake to take rejection from consideration of manuscripts in case of existence of the conflicts of interests owing to competitive, joint and other interactions and the relations with authors, the companies and, perhaps, other organizations connected with the manuscript.

The editorial board undertakes to take the adequate answer-back measures in case of the ethical claims concerning the considered manuscripts or the published materials.

Duties of authors

Authors of articles have to report reliable results of the accomplished work and objective discussion of the importance of research. Authors  have to provide all data concerning the manuscript at inquiry of the editor.

Authors undertake to provide own, new (unpublished in other editions), original work and in case of use of works or statements of other authors have to give the corresponding bibliographic references or excerpts.

Plagiarism in all forms represents unethical actions and is unacceptable.

Authors undertake to provide article for consideration only in "Bulletin of Kemerovo State University of Culture and Arts."  Submission of the same manuscript at the same time more than in one magazine is perceived as unethical behavior and gives the grounds for removal of article from consideration.

In case of detection by the author of essential mistakes or inaccuracies in the publication, the author has to report about it to the editor of the magazine and interact with it for the purpose of the fastest withdrawal of the publication or correction of mistakes.
