Annotation: The enactment of professional standards for education and scope of production has a signifi cant impact on the development of educational programs in the sphere of artistic activities and particularly in the fi eld of graphic design. The purpose of this article is substantiation of the models for educational programs in the sphere of graphic design, formed with the requirements of both educational and professional standards in the fi eld of higher education and graphic design. Standardization allows unifi cation, systematization and classifi cation of the compound elements of educational programs. The article examines different types of standards: educational standards in the fi eld of graphic design for different levels of higher education, professional standard for graphic designers, professional standard for higher education faculty. The authors conclude that, fi rstly, standardization acquires a total character and, secondly, it gets more systematic quality in the fi eld of graphic design because of the extension of areas of standardization and increase in the number of objects of standardization. The authors propose ways of unifi cation of universal and professional competences for the development of educational programs, as well as justify the formation of holistic multidimensional models of educational programs in the fi eld of graphic design for different levels of higher education: for bachelors, masters and assistants.
Keywords: educational programs, models of programs, parameters of programs, educational standards, professional standards, graphic design.
