BIRTH OF THE THEATRICAL LEGEND: TO HISTORY OF THE KHABAROVSK REGIONAL MUSICAL THEATRE

Annotation: Studying the history of the Khabarovsk Regional Musical Theater, the author has revealed discrepancy of the accepted date of the basis 1926 and dates which are specifi ed in archival documents. The research of archival sources helped to determine the exact date, September 1, 1932 when a document on reorganization of musical drama theater and drama theater of the Far East region issued. The undertaken research undertaken by the author to change an old paradigm. The established new data promoted achievement of goals of a research: introduction of amendments into history of the Russian Far East Musical Theater. For scientifi c community, the new archival documents confi rming the author’s position are submitted. There was an established fact that theater organization was in 1932 but some circumstances forced to forget and invent about it a new theatrical legend. The new task: identifi cation of the reasons which have generated the version of history of foundation of regional musically theater of Khabarovsk occurring today is in parallel set. For realization of theater internal documents: fi nancial statements, staff lists, orders on theater are studied. One of the assumptions made by the researcher is a decision of the theater to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the foundation. In one of theater orders for 1951 a confi rmation of this hypothesis has been found. The theater directorate has appointed commission of incompetent workers who on the basis of enough doubtful materials have made the historical chronicle of theater. As a result of the analysis of all available documents and facts, the conclusions about that original date was known in theater and “is forgotten” consciously have been created. The birth of a theatrical legend of a new date of foundation of Musical Theater in Khabarovsk was a deliberate action for a conclusion about a theater foundation in 1951. The date accepted today isn’t confi rmed as 1926 by any of the offi cial archival documents existing today.
