THE ROLE, IMPORTANCE, ACTUALITY OF THE SCHOOL MUSEUM IN THE SYSTEM OF EDUCATIONAL PROCESS OF RUSSIA AT THE BEGINNING OF THE 21ST CENTURY

Annotation: The article notes the role, importance and actuality of school museums in Russia in early XXI century, which can be traced since the advent of the fi rst school museums, allocated in stages. The most pressing problems of school museums are confi rmed by statute in the modern education system. The author identifi es six issues as the most serious: the state policy, structural exclusion, offi cial contradiction, human incompetence, intellectual dependency, internal coordination, staff shortages. The article shows that school museums in modern conditions are not quite well-defi ned in public policy as the relevant societies, often reminding the sector activity. This can be proved by the example of weak coordination policy in which nobody can identify the exact number of school museums in the country. Actuality of school museums is noted from the point of view of the element of the spiritual-moral and civil-patriotic education. It is shown their meaning from the point of view of self-realization of schoolchildren’s leadership qualities, career guidance activities. School museums stand out as companies engaged in search and research of local history orientation that allows you to lay the foundations of scientifi c work. It allocates a new stage of their development from 2010 to 2015, noted as “period of alienation.” It indicates the exit of the museum school at the new stage of development associated with the creation in 2015 of the Russian movement of schoolchildren, where in the direction of “civic engagement” highlighted the signifi cant role of local lore and school museums. School museums in the early 21st century stand out in the education system from the point of view of determining the multifaceted forms of education and discipline for accumulation of different ways of personal infl uence, where they constitute information and communication platform of local history studies.
