Annotation: The relevance of the study is related to the characteristics of acts of aggression in the youth environment, the need for scientific analysis for targeted prevention.The article gives an analysis of the causes and peculiarities of attacks in schools on students and teachers. A comparative analysis of the most known cases of attacks in educational institutions of the United States and Russia was conducted. The main factors that play a role in preparing the attacks and realizing acts of aggression are indicated. From the point of view of psychology and pedagogy, the influence of the personality of the attackers and the role of mental deviations in the formation of aggressive behavior and planned acts of aggression are described. It reflected the alleged communication of attackers in social networks and the publication of plans and intentions for attacks on the attackers themselves and others. Possible variants of the possible impact of publications, materials on attacks in the media, depending on the degree and type of submission of published data on the frequency of attacks and their relapse are considered. Specific features of psychological and pedagogical prevention of the repetition of acts of aggression against students and teachers, indicating the priority measures based on analysis of the identity of the attackers and critical situations, are determined.
