CONCEPTUAL BASES OF REGIONAL LIBRARY DEVELOPMENT: SCENARIOS OF THE FUTURE

Annotation: Subject of consideration of this article is fixing the problems and the prospects of development of library in regional sociocultural space, designation of the key directions of modernization of its work in the context of model of the future creation. Despite uniqueness of “course of life” of a regional library, these problems and prospects often have universal character and therefore open an opportunity for fixing the valid aspects of library sphere development. The authors address generalization of results of the business game realized on the basis of the Chelyabinsk Regional Universal Scientific Library, and assuming modeling (in game space) the real bases of transformation of activity of library. For creation of conceptual model, it is advisable to authors to take as a basis consideration of specifics of library in the context of a tendency of society intellectualization. The mission of library as a resource center of development of intellectual and creative capacity of the region is formulated, various directions and the strategy of achievement of the specified idea are analyzed. In the article, the conclusion that the regional library is a powerful resource of maintenance and development of cultural diversity in modern sociocultural space which can and has to not only remain is drawn, but also receive new impulses of investment of the ideas and projects in the future. In the article, the attention is focused on perception of the Chelyabinsk Regional Universal Scientific Library by real and potential audience of its visitors, the question is put: whether the regional library carries out the cultural aligning function, directing and organizing various cultural flows.
