Annotation: On the basis of concrete historical material, the article shows the features of the political and cultural media influence of the regional mass media of the right-monarchist trend in a certain chronological period of time. The existence of the publication is considered in the context of a conflicting political culture, expressed in the constant struggle of “Susanin” with liberal and socialist influence. The authors came to a conclusion about the identification in the publication of these directions with the Masonic influence. Hence the irreconcilable antisemitism on the pages of “Susanin,” with the simultaneous staging of Russian nationalism as the basis of the political culture of the publication. In this respect, the media in question was part of the entire Russian monarchical cultural media space. At the same time, the newspaper’s appeals for participation in the elections of central and municipal authorities, as well as in self-supporting organizations of an economic, charitable and cultural-educational nature, contributed to the formation of civil society and the formation of civil and political culture. The political influence of “Susanin” in the post-revolutionary period is characterized by a weakening of extremism and an increase in tolerance, at least in relation to liberal-monarchical elements. The decline of the revolutionary movement inevitably led to a weakening in the mass and individual consciousness of media influences related to the radical media culture of right-wing monarchists. The influence of “Susanin,” as the printing organ of one of the organizations of the right-radical monarchist party and the bearer of the conflicting political culture, also steadily decreased.
Keywords: monarchism, political media influence, political culture, civic culture, cultural-educational societies, antisemitism, mass media.
