Annotation: The article is devoted to the analysis of socio-philosophical and culturological aspects of the consideration of economic behavior in the Russian mentality. It is emphasized that the diversity of different national stereotypes of behavior, including the economic behavior, depends on the dynamics of development and/or transformation of different types of mentality within the framework of the Russian state. Different approaches to definition of economic behavior, both from the point of view of disclosure of human potential through system of value stereotypes, and activity as a certain form of sociocultural process are analyzed. The attention is focused on the fact that within the framework of the Russian mentality, the economic behavior, being a social reflection, on the one hand, contributes to the rationalization of economic activities, and on the other – aimed at meeting the economic interests. It is noted that in the processes of formation and consolidation of negative practices, the revealed elements of deformation of economic behavior that contradict the interests of a particular employee, regardless of his property, socio-cultural and ethnic affiliation, and the interests of society as a whole. The degree of stability and adjustment of economic behavior depends on economic transformations and is determined by ethnonational characteristics of its subjects. It is also noted that the forms, systems and mechanisms of vocational training, depending on the market needs, have a significant impact on economic behavior. In the context of the low level of institutional trust, as well as the lack of a culture of public dialogue, there is a shift in the economic activity of Russians at the social micro level.
