Annotation: Architectural heritage is one of the parts of a multifaceted structure of cultural heritage. After their resettlement in this territory, the Transbaikalian Semeyskie Old Believers could adapt themselves to local conditions, bringing in and preserving their own unique tangible heritage. Their residential and temple architecture is of special significance. Specific features of development of the Old Believers’ villages and settlements in Transbaikalia, peculiarities of courtyard layout, and building types have been studied in contemporary research works by F.F. Bolonev, L.A. Abolina, R.Yu. Fedorov, N.R. Pavlova, S.V. Vasilyeva, D.D. Vasilyeva and others. The remaining actual objects of cultural heritage are the buildings turned into museum exhibits, such as the Old Believers’ dwelling complex in the Ethnographic Museum of the Transbaikalian Peoples (EMTP). The temple architecture of the Semeyskie of Transbaikalia attracts scholarly attention. The only surviving wooden temple with chapel from the village of Nikolskoe is also situated in the Ethnographic Museum. The detailed description of the Nikolsky temple is provided in the publications by S.G. Zhambalova, N.B. Zhalsaraeva, N.R. Pavlova, E.V. Sayaparova, E.V. Vaganova, S.S. Konyaeva, Z.K. Varfolomeeva. Specific features of religious architecture of Old Believers’ temples are examined in the work by P.A. Dolnakov and N.P. Zhurin. Analysis of the contemporary historiography of the architectural heritage of the Transbaikalian Semeyskie allows making a conclusion that by now some positive experience of the study of this problem and its specific aspects (fortunes of housing and religious buildings, their historical and cultural value, etc.) has been accumulated. However, it should be noted that so far there have been no dedicated generalizing research works in the field of Culture Studies, which undoubtedly marks the topicality of this research theme. The exposed research perspectives will allow developing necessary measures for further restoration, reconstruction and transmission of heritage of the Transbaikalian Old Believers.
