Annotation: Speaking in the sphere of teaching the foreign language is considered the mostly sought skill for an individual to be accepted competent in a foreign language. Speaking is more than to form grammatically correct sentences; it rather covers broad areas of mechanics, functions, pragmatics and socio-cultural interaction. Therefore, any foreign language teaching methodology used in a classroom throughout the history has always sought to develop ways to improve the competency of learners in these areas. In contemporary methodologies, the emphasis on speaking is fluency rather than accuracy. In a typical classification, the speaking activities in a foreign language classroom usually fall into one of these categories: awareness raising activities, controlled activities, and autonomous activities. There are also some speaking strategies that can be implemented to encourage the unmotivated students to produce speaking. Therefore, teaching speaking as a type of speech activity acquires the status as not only a process of teaching, but also the academic activity of a priority type. A research objective is to reveal the authentic features of the speech, which are subject to studying within a course of a foreign language to provide students with necessary tools for implementation of full communication in the professional foreign-language environment. Teaching speaking means studying the speech strategy of native speakers and adaptation by students. Speaking is analyzed not only in the frame of a discourse analysis and pragmatists, but also the utilitarian functions inherent in speaking, such as interactivity, spontaneity, etc. The research describes the experience and results of teaching speaking estimated by the staff of the Department of Foreign Languages in Kemerovo State Institute of Culture, embodied in a type of speech skills and abilities of the students taking part in the international projects carried out on platforms of such organizations as the Romualdo Del Bianco Foundation and the International Institute Life Beyond Tourism, Cultural Association “New Drama Dancing” (Florence, Italy), St. Petersburg State Institute of Culture, etc.
