Annotation: In regional studies, art always becomes a way of forming the cultural code, the identity of a certain people. With all the uniqueness, national flavor of the region, do not forget that for a long time the capital of the region, the city of Izhevsk, remained a place of industrial profile. Heroes of labor, home front workers, gunsmiths, outstanding personalities of the city contributing to the development of the region are the themes of Pavel Medvedev's works. The monuments reflect the historical purpose of Izhevsk, represent the consistent development of the city from metallurgical plants to modern weapons enterprises. The factory and its employees are the most important themes that the sculptor consistently reveals in his works. Thanks to the merits of this master, the capital of Udmurtia acquires its own face, symbols, a way of identification among other Ural factory cities.
