FOLK SONGS OF SHANDONG PROVINCE: A QUESTION OF GENRE TYPOLOGY

Annotation: Chinese folk songs have a very long and unique history. At present, folk song genres are an important research area in China. Meanwhile, in Russian musical science, the issues of Chinese folk song art have been given an insignificant place. The author emphasizes the prospect of studying the problems of Chinese song tradition in the context of the emerging Russian musical sinology. Attention to the song of Shandong province is conditioned by the rich history and culture of this region. This article examines the leading genres of Shandong folk songs in the province and beyond and reveals the peculiarities of their content, as well as structure and form are revealed. The position of song genres in historical retrospect, their content, social function and revealed. Four main types of Shandong folk songs are distinguished: labor songs, short songs, yangge, and mountain songs. The article discusses their genre features and some structural features. Separately studied the unique form of folk songs, in which peculiar song cycles are formed. The unifying factor is the commonality of their plot. As an example, the cycle "Melody burning paper" is considered, the songs of which are united by belonging to the shamanic ritual.
