Many media cliches, that circulate today in the Far Eastern cultural and political space, have intuitive preliminary works of the authors of “Daltelefilm” in their roots. At the same time, the creators of the cinematographic material, which is a subject to verification, judging from a certain number of interviews, believed that their works are not part of the systematic information series of television broadcasting. The aggregate of the research material includes three hundred and eighty seven units of meaning the motion pictures, the date of creation of which is confirmed by archival and source-study methods. Content analysis and typological characteristics of the films in many ways allow for reconstruction of the lost materials of “Daltelefilm” and present the general and the particular in the activity of this documentary film studio in a very systematic way. The main conclusion of this article: the creative potential of the studio “Daltelefilm” through the uniqueness of the artistic decisions of the film’s authors and the scale of the biographies of the heroes of their films were ahead of their time and led to an organizational crisis in the late 1990s.
