THE IDEA OF THE END OF HISTORY: MEANING, ORIGIN, SOCIAL SIGNIFICANCE

Annotation: The research is devoted to the idea of the end of history in the context of utopian consciousness. It is shown that it acts as the rationalized and conceptualized expression of desire to find the perfect society allocated with a number of the detailed characteristics in cash reality. This regimentation of substantial filling of the idea of the end of history makes impossible its literal embodiment, but at the same time allows it plays a role of a detonator of social cataclysms. The comparative analysis of the idea of the end of history and eschatological ideas of an apocalypse is carried out. A valid conclusion according to which, despite genetic proximity, they significantly differ. The apocalypse means the global accident opening a way to transcendental reality, to a new stage of history. The end of history assumes achievement in social reality of so perfect condition of society at which any essential social changes become excessive and in principle impossible. Besides, if eschatological representations are a result of a religious belief, in the idea of the end of history, even if it sometimes is presented, does not play the leading role. The idea of the end of history expressed in philosophical, specialized art or in the form of compositions of folklore is a result of utopian activity. Any utopia surely contains or assumes the idea of the end of history and any idea of the end of history is always utopian. The article formulates the conclusion according to which the idea of the end of history is the primitive scheme in comparison with multidimensionality of reality is formulated as an indicator of social crisis, warning as to its content and practice indirect realization about the threat of loss people making sense reference points, loss of culture diversity.
